Being the King's Hand sounds SO much better...
If appointed to be the King hand, you wouldn't be upset! You don't seek out the Iron Throne due to it's reputation and negative connotations. You don't feel like you have it in you to even sit on the Iron Throne for a day. You are however perfectly fine with helping the King figure out what his next move will be.

It hasn't been something you've dreamed of, but sitting on the Iron Throne doesn't seem like a terrible idea! You're a level-headed person and if becoming King or Queen will restore some order in the 7 kingdoms you'll go for it.
